About Sonia
Everyone has a passion. From a young age, Sonia’s was makeup. It was more than just something she applied on herself; it was her hobby and her passion – something which her creative flair allowed her to excel at.
Friends and family noticed her talent and began to request her skills for themselves, and it was there that the journey began on a professional level.
Wanting to progress, Sonia trained and qualified to become a professional Hair & Makeup Artist, accredited by BABTAC – the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology. Sonia has now worked as a professional for the last 6+ years and during that time has grown both personally and professionally.
Sonia specialises in Asian Bridal Hair & Makeup and Occasion/party hair and makeup – in the UK and Internationally.
Professional work and growth
Sonia’s brand and reputation has grown considerably over the years, which has also taken her internationally on destination weddings. Here in the UK she works with a team of talented artists who assist on larger bookings or when she is unavailable.
She has worked alongside and collaborated with many notable companys and wedding suppliers over time; including other makeup artists, models, boutiques and photographers – coming together to create stunning campaigns, photoshoots and events.
She has also been in involved in music video shoots and notable clients include entertainment presenter Anushka Arora and Asian music producer Manni Sandhu.
Clients praise her friendly and professional approach, commenting on how comfortable she makes them feel. Sonia only uses the best products and brands, and does not use anything on her clients that she would not use on herself.
Sonia’s approach to makeup can be summed up in one mission statement: to empower and make people feel beautiful in their own skin.

Charity work - making a difference
Sonia believes in giving back and in helping others who need it. This ethos has led her to be a proud member of the “Look Good Feel Better” charity programme, in which she is helps conduct ‘beauty workshops’ in hospitals for women undergoing cancer treatment. In these workshops beauty professionals teach makeup and skincare application techniques, to help women deal with the visible side effects of cancer treatment, helping them look and feel beautiful during the most challenging and vulnerable time of their lives.
